Do you add pictures to your blog posts? A lot of you do.
Whether you're sharing photos of your family vacation or displaying the latest creation you've made, pictures add interest to your posts.
One of the many great features of Blogger is the automatic sizing option when posting pictures. When you upload a photo onto Blogger, it asks if you want the photo to be 'Large', 'Medium', or 'Small'.
Large = 400px wide X 250px tall
Medium = 320px wide X 200px tall
Small = 200px wide X 125px tall
Simple, right?
But don't forget that the option to size your photos to fit on your post only resizes them for the actual post...
One of the other great features of Blogger is that you can click on a photo in a post and it will open that photo up in a new window at its original size. This is PERFECT for stampers and scrapbookers who want to see the detail of a project.
BUT if you don't resize your picture manually in a photo editing program (or even just Microsoft Paint), your photo may end up being HUGE when someone clicks on it.
For example, when I upload a photo from my digital camera onto my computer, it's original size is 2272px wide X 1704px tall (compare that to the 'Large' auto-size option of 400px X 250px).
Resizing your photos is a fast and easy way to make your posting more effective. This way, your readers can click on your post photos to see the DETAIL of your project, not the grain of the paper!
